MOTTROL has completed the development of the ‘Jet-Pipe Type Servo valve’ for the first time in Korea in December, 2021.

Servo Valve is a key component of the hydraulic control system and controls the flow rate and direction by receiving electrical signals. In addition, Servo Valve is largely divided into Nozzle-Flapper type and Jet-Pipe type according to the operation method.

In the early 2000s, Mottrol succeeded in developing a Nozzle-Flapper Servo Valve for the first time in Korea and has proven its performance by applying it to various guided weapon systems as well as ground weapon systems such as the K1 series tank, the K9 self-propelled gun's gun/turret drive system, and the K2 tank's suspension system.

In January 2020, Mottrol started the development of the Jet-Pipe Servo Valve that is relatively resistant to contamination and has improved reliability compared to the Nozzle-Flapper Servo Valve. And during the two-year development period we checked the Servo Valve’s performance and reliability by performing performance tests, environmental tests, and durability tests (10 million times)

In the future, we plan to apply this product to auxiliary equipment for aircraft (fuel supply device, servo actuator, etc.) to prove system suitability.
