The KF-21 ‘Boramae’, the Korea’s first developed 4.5 generation fighter jet, was succeeded first flight on Jul 19th.  Mottrol has participated system development for this KF-21, and developed hydraulic pump and two types of engine accessories (actuator assembly and surge valve assembly) which is key components of this KF-21 fighter.

With the success of the KF-21 flight test, Mottrol once again proved its technological capabilities in the aviation field since the KUH helicopter development project before.

That business have been contract with KAI for developing hydraulic pump for KF-21 since November 2017 and the hydraulic pump, a variable capacity swash plate type, developed for the new fighter jet is high-speed and light-weight hydraulic pump optimized for KF-21 with a rated speed of 4,480 rpm and a weight of 19 kg or less.

For this first flight, KAI CEO has sent a letter of appreciation to our developers for their dedication and hard work who overcame difficult adversity and participated in the development.

After the first flight, it plans to complete development by 2026 and start mass production after passing 2,000 flight tests in the future.

 Mottrol also plans to complete the system development of the KF-21 by 2026 and begin mass production.
